L’agriturismo La Burraia is nestled in a wide green valley that stretches for about 85,000 square meters. From the marvels of a flourishing Mediterranean scrub where the most diverse animal species live, the picturesque towers of the medieval town of Volterra appear on the horizon.

The proximity of the Burraia to major centers of historical and cultural interest, such as Florence, Siena, Pisa, San Gimignano, Volterra, allows you to explore these authentic jewels that the past has handed down to us, without giving up the pleasure and tranquility of life in the countryside.
La Burraia is also just a few minutes away from the town of San Gimignano, which, in addition to a spectacular panoramic view that sweeps as far as the more distant towns of the Val d’Elsa below. The nearby town of Gambassi Terme has a post office, bank, pharmacy, stores, laundry, restaurants and pizzerias, and a brand-new spa, whose renowned Pillo water proves excellent for curing a myriad of ailments and for regaining mental and physical well-being.
The particular position of the Burraia, located on a hill, about 400 meters above sea level, sheltered to the north from the Tramontana winds and exposed to the west, towards the sea, benefits from the salutary effect of the Mistral, which makes the climate temperate in every season of the year and allows you to breathe, on hot summer days, a refreshing breeze with a pleasant taste of the sea.
